futuristic experience at Asian Civilisations Museum

In celebration of the 10th Edition of Singapore Art Week and the 6th edition of the Light to Night Singapore Festival, I have illustrated one of the landmarks of the Civic District Singapore, bringing everyone the Asian Civilisations Museum.

The Asian Civilisations Museum is a museum that fosters the understanding of the heritage culture of Singapore and is a key landmarks located near the riverside of Singapore River.

Light to Night and the Singapore Art Week are joint initiative by the National Arts Council and the Singapore Tourism Board. The annual visual arts festival bringing everyone to see Singapore’s arts, culture and heritage in an entirely different method.

The theme for this year is “new ways of seeing, thinking and being festival encourage people to look at the world through different perspectives. One of the key highlights of the festival are the AR exhibition and the art skins on monument facade projections.

I wanted to create something refreshing and new to match the theme and promote the use of creative technology. Under the idea of what will it be like in the future of Museum in Singapore, I have reimagined and incorporated artificial intelligence, robotics and augmented reality into my artwork, bringing everyone a futuristic immersive museum in the future.

Visitors in the artwork wear special pair augmented reality glasses equipped with audio 3D images and animation allowing visitors to learn along the tour. You can hear, touch and rediscover the past and present rich cultural and artistic heritage of Asian through the use of digital technologies and there is the room protection shield design to protect visitors in public spaces.

I hope the festivals and my illustration bond people to the many wonderful places located in the heart of Singapore meaningfully.
