This week, I have created a drawing of The Riverwalk, a joint development with Riverwalk apartment located at Upper Circular road.
The Riverwalk is a commercial building for office and retail. It has retail spaces on the lower 2 floors and offices on the upper 3 floors. Among them, the famous seafood restaurant Jumbo Seafood is one of its retail tenants. It is a 5 storey commercial building built in 1997.
The Riverwalk apartment is a 99 year old apartment comprising of around 94 units and was completed in 1990.
It is located at the heart of the busy and vibrant Singapore river. A walk along the riverwalk, you will notice that on one side of the river, you will see apartments with quiet and peaceful environment and on the other side, you will notice the vibrant atmosphere with bars and restaurants serving food.
I have created a drawing of the commercial building and the surrounding sea landscape in surreal version featuring fun characters relaxing under colourful matching beach umbrellas.
I hope to create a sense of wonder and surrealism to my artwork of Singapore River inviting everyone who view my art to imagine and experience the beauty of Singapore’s riverside.
