This week, I am inviting everyone to indulge in an early Christmas mood in an illustration that pays tribute to the local Singapore coffee shop scenery.
I have illustrated Toast Box Coffee House, a local Nanyang Coffee chain by BreadTalk Group which launches this year. It is a new dining and coffee concept. It is located along Seng Poh road, Tiong Bahru.
Tiong Bahru is one of the oldest housing estate in Singapore which houses an intriguing mix of gold and new neighbourhood shophouses. Majority of the architecture design are inspired by the 1930s style called streamline moderne by Mr Alfred G Church.
it has been great and fun to put together to illustrate the main design elements and architecture of the coffeehouse.
In the illustration, I had recreated and reimagined what it would be like if there are a dreamy Christmas landscape in Singapore, around the neighbourhood coffee shop while enjoying a coffee house ambience with a cup of warm beverage.
I have used colours and characters that highlights and accentuates the coffee house and Christmas theme throughout the artwork.
I love to let my imagination run free and hope that this illustration sparks early festive joy to everyone !
