Din Tai Fung 20th Anniversary

This year, Din Tai Fung celebrates its two decades of culinary excellence. To celebrates this occasion, I have drawn one of its outlets located in London, Din Tai Fung Covent Garden.

Covent Garden is a shopping hub located in the West end of London which boasts fashion as well as food & dining. The decoration of Din Tai Fung at the Covent garden are both modern, classical and minimalist.

The flagship restaurant at Covent garden are able to caters to more than 200 guests and also offers dishes that contains the true Taiwanese flavours.

The Covent Garden outlet is the first Din Tai Fung outlet opened in Europe. I find inspiration for this artwork when I was eating their famous Xiao Long Bao, steam buns and started to create it.

This project that celebrates Din Tai Fung’s 20th anniversary combines my love of food and art with typography and architecture drawing to create a visually unique artwork that pays homage to the famous Taiwanese restaurant.

Food is always an area that I would love to draw and explore. I would visit the supermarkets and dine in restaurant to look for source of inspiration. The colours designs of menu and food are just an endless source of joy to look at.

Hope Din Tai Fung and food lovers enjoy my illustration and Happy Anniversary to the famous restaurant.
