My name is Rylan Goh. Illustration is not my main career but in my free time, I illustrate and draws different kind of images. I like to combines my creative flair to create images and stories. I loved storytelling using illustrations. I am currently based in Singapore.
I am a quiet person and making illustration is one of the way that I express myself. Exploring the culture and atmosphere of Singapore has been the focus of my art.
My website is more of a creative platform where I share my artwork with people. I enjoy looking at past era, nature, culture, art and everything that happen around me to draw inspiration. I had always loved to illustrate and write and my motivation stands strong to build creatively and moving forward into the digital future. Art has always been my true passion. I consider fashion, digital art and Chinese heritage the main influence on my work. One of my main interest of work at the moment is creating captivating illustration on the landmarks, attractions and architectures of Singapore. I always approach every project with passion and enthusiasm. It is time consuming and so I have to put in the hours after work.
I loved to draw and paint and I always try to pay attention to the fundamentals and I never skip what is the most important step for me, that is sketching with pencil and paper. My sketchbooks tend to fill up with little notes, sketches and ideas very quickly.
When crafting illustration, I always consider myself as a beginner, a little child who is still learning. I have been drawing since childhood. And my first inspiration was my mother who was a fashion lecturer in the 80s. I Love creating happy, colourful vector art, making them bright and colourful. I work hard and invest my spare time in sharping up my skills and knowledge. I hoped my illustrations can bring beauty, creativity and a different perspective to Singapore. My Primary Motta is rise above, speak from my heart, show my strength, stand strong, build creatively and move into the digital future. There are a lot of things I have not touched on and I keep brainstorming on new ways to involve more interactive elements in my artwork.
Reborn, Reshape, Refresh, Rejoice, Reimagine are at the core of my brand.
