Today is Christmas, the time of the year when everyone gets together, becomes closer and relationship gets deeper. This Christmas, I am going to uncover two very beautiful locations along Tanglin road that matches the theme of Christmas.
The first illustration involves the drawing of Tanglin place shopping mall located at the junction of Tanglin road. It is a 4 storey building with 2 basements. Singapore does not have a winter season and I have created a dreamy winter landscape on the coast of Tanglin Place. It has an artistic geometric building that resembles a winter house and matches the theme of Christmas.
Outdoor ice skating is a popular sports associated with Christmas and is elegantly integrated into my artwork illustration. I illustrated pretty female skaters enjoying the winter mood in playful skiing style dressing up in brightly coloured Christmas outfits contrasting with fresh whiteness of snow.
When I was young, I have always wondered what will it be like if it snows in Singapore and what will it be like if there is a winter scenery in this pretty city.
With this in mind, my illustration combines the beauty drawing of Tanglin place shopping mall together with 10 lovely girls ice skating in winter ice rink wonderland. The symbols of Christmas, the Santa Claus with his reindeer bears and adorable bears are drawn inside the artwork to add on an additional cuteness to my artwork.
