Today is the Lantern Festival and is also the Chingay Parade 2024. The theme for the parade this year is “Blossom” which signifies the growth of communities and aspiration for everyone in Singapore to come together to blossom as one community.
Dragon and phoenix are cultural symbols that represent auspiciousness and harmony and in an effort to develop local Chinese culture, I specially created it in my artwork. I hope to portray a colourful and vibrant atmosphere which suits the important occasion for the Chinese.
