Singapore celebrates its National Day every year on 9th August in commemoration of its independence in 1965.
I always enjoyed and liked the vibrant culture in this city. In this nation, there are a wide variety of races and cultures coexist and National Day brings the different ethnicities together to celebrate this occasion. Our multicultural diversity is what makes our nation so unique and vibrant.
On this day, experience the magic of Singapore National Day as I recreates the vibrant spirit of Singapore as the nation comes together to celebrate this year theme, “onward as one” which calls upon Singaporeans to look forward confidently and move onward together.
At the same time, I would also like to pay tribute to the tourism sector in Singapore, celebrating the tourism professionals who are making a difference to help us grow and move onward with a drawing of the Singapore Tourism Board located at the Tourism court, Orchard Spring Lane.
When the Singapore Tourism Board was formed, one of its main task was to promote Singapore. It is a board under the ministry of Trade and industry. Its main purpose is to oversee all aspect of tourism.
I have drawn the main office building of Singapore Tourism Board with characters from different ethnicities coming together to celebrate this important occasion.
I hope to tell the world through my illustration about the beauty and colourful heritage of Singapore.
