This week, my illustration theme is “Art Deco”. To celebrate Singapore’s art deco hotel architecture, I have illustrated Ascott Raffles Place, a luxurious hotel located around Raffles Place Singapore with distinctive art deco architectural style.
I hope to bring my architectural vision of the building to life, reviving the vintage charm of the building with vivid colours and intriguing elements. The art deco facade of the building are carefully drawn with two sides diverge from a central long narrow section.
Ascott Raffles Place is the former Asia Insurance building designed by local architecture Ng Keng Siang. The building today is a mark of prestige and class hotel that offers travelers a unique experience in a heritage building.
Art Deco is one of my favourite style of architecture and there are quite a number of landmarks in Singapore that contains Art Deco design structure.
