To celebrate the launching of Dyson Global headquarters in Singapore in March 2022, I have specially illustrated the architecture drawing and illustration of its headquarters located at St James Power Station, one of Singapore’s historical building.
St James Power Station is a building located in Harbourfront, opposite Vivocity Shopping centre. Built in 1926, it is Singapore’s first power station and was designated as one of the city national monuments by the national heritage board of Singapore.
The power station building was designed by Alexander Esme Gordon and Preece together with Cardew & Rider being based on Edwardian architecture. It is a challenge to draw its distinctive features which is the red brick walls, long full length windows and the chimneys.
Dyson is a multinational technology company founded by James Dyson. To pay tribute to James Dyson, the great engineer and founder of Dyson, I have also illustrated 14 lovely ladies using different Dyson products, notably the cordless hand vacuum, supersonic hair dryer, airdrop, vacuum cleaner and its latest design, the air purifying headphones which blows clean air into the face. There are also air purifiers around to improve air quality. Hope my illustration created a fascinating clean urban city area, an area where everyone uses Dyson and a beautiful Singapore.
